What happens if I get sick or have an accident?
All Latvia Rivers clients have travel insurance included in the tour price. In case of illness or accident, they will be immediately evacuated to the nearest hospital.
What happens if I do not want to continue the tour for some reason?
Each tour has marked places where you can leave, in which case our team will be called and they will come to pick up those who want to leave the tour. The money will not be refunded if the client wants to leave the tour.
Where do you sleep?
You sleep in tents with inflatable mats. The tents are for 3 and 4 people, if you are a family a family tent is provided.
How do you go to the toilet?
In most camping sites there are dry toilets (latrines), if there is an urgent need to go, you go to the forest and bury the waste with a shovel.
Is there a place to shower?
No. Although you can take a small portable shower that hangs from a branch of a tree and you can shower. You can also bathe in the river if the weather is good.
Is it allowed to bathe in the river?
Yes, it is allowed.
Is the river clean or is it contaminated?
The river is completely clean, it has no contamination whatsoever.
Is it possible to fish?
Yes, but you must obtain a fishing permit.
What about things that cannot get wet, such as phones and other electronic equipment?
We provide dry bags of various sizes for electronic equipment and spare clothing.
Can I recharge my phone or other electronic equipment?
Yes. Latvia Rivers has several portable charging systems for customers’ electronic equipment.
